- Most of these parts are standard and can be used with the new mechanism.
 
Step 3: Positioning the New Mechanism
- Place the new mechanism on the seat frame.
 
- Move it back and forth to find the correct position where it reclines smoothly without touching the frame.
 
- Mark the final position.
 
Step 4: Securing the Mechanism
- Use wood screws to mount the mechanism onto the seat frame.
 
- Double-check that the reclining function operates smoothly without obstruction.
 
Step 5: Adjusting the Footrest Board
- Check the position of the footrest board on the new mechanism.
 
- Move the board up or down to avoid the original bolt or screw locations.
 
- Once properly positioned, secure the footrest board using wood screws.
 
Final Check:
- Test the reclining function multiple times to ensure smooth operation.
 
- Verify that all screws are securely fastened.
 
- Ensure there are no obstructions or misalignments.
